I was helping in a friend's restaurant yesterday and a medium age Chinese man was standing just outside the restaurant. I went over and wanted to "pull" him in, so I greeted him and introduced the specialties of the restaurant.
He then opened his mouth and from his accent, I knew he was from China.
He : Lobster restaurant?
(Because of his accent, I have problem figuring what he trying to tell me)
Me : Restaurant? This is a restaurant.
He : Lobster restaurant!
Me : We have lobster, lobster salad.
He : No, no, err....crab?
Me : Yes, we have soft shell crab.
He : No, no....errr...fish?
Me : Yes, we have fish. Salmon, tuna.
He : Err....aiya, 我要找海xian
Me : (In Chinese)...orh....you go down from here...blah blah blah.
Do I looked ang mo to that guy or he simply using me to practise his English?
