Singapore Win Silver for Table Tennis Woman Group

Yesterday was a big day for Singapore because Singapore is playing with China over the Beijing 2008 Olympics table tennis woman team gold medal. It was so big that even Lee Hsien Loong has to give way for his National Day Rally.

I was equally excited; how often do we have Singapore getting in to a final of a International sports event. So when a friend of mine "jio" (invited) me to watch together at a coffee shop over some beer, I agreed.

We were late for the game but facing China, the champion of table tennis, we have guessed that the score should be 3-0. If Singapore can win 1 set, it would be good. However, the result was just as we expected, 3-0.

In the coffee shop, there were actually two groups of supporters, the Singaporean customers and the China chinese coffee shop assistants. Thank God there were no fight; but the cheers from two groups did make the environment more exciting.

Anyway, congrates on Singapore winning a silver medal and the players for getting their money bonuses; I just wondered whether Lee Hsien Loong will celebrate with the whole nation by declaring a month or two off our Service and Conservancy Charges.

Then what I called the whole nation celebrates.
